Attention, Chrome users!
It's now more convenient than ever to manage your 2-way SMS conversations with the free Mobile Text Alerts Chrome extension.
WIth the extension, you're able to see at a glance if you have any new replies on your Mobile Text Alerts account. You can conveniently view all of your Inbox conversations, respond back, and assign or archive conversation threads as desired. You can also view, edit, add, and delete subscribers from your account from directly within the extension, making managing your subscriber list easy.
Once you download the extension, you can pin it to your browser toolbar, and you'll see an unread notification indicator if you have a new reply in your Mobile Text Alerts account.
After you open the extension and log in, you can click the navigation "hamburger" icon to see the different sections available within the extension.
Managing Conversations
From the main "Inbox" view, you can see all of your Inbox conversations. This will show you conversation threads for anyone who has replied to your messages.
Search through the messages using the search bar and filter the messages using the "Type" or "Groups" drop-down options. "Type" filters will allow you to view conversations based on which users they are assigned to on the account, as well as unassigned or archived conversations. "Group" filters will allow you to view conversations based on specific groups on your account.
Selecting "Actions" allows you to mark conversations as read or unread, or to assign conversations to a particular user on your account.
Selecting the "+" button will allow you to initiate a new conversation.
Click on a conversation thread to view the full history of that thread and to have the option to reply back to the subscriber.
Type in a message in the text box at the bottom and click the "Send" (paper airplane) icon to submit a message to your subscriber.
Click the "SMS" icon to toggle between sending your message as an SMS ("regular" text message) or an MMS (multimedia message, which allows more characters and counts as 3 message credits per recipient).
Click the "+" icon to add various elements to your message, including attachments, your account's "Contact Card," a trackable link, variables (such as your recipients' names), or a preset message template. You can also use the AI "Suggest Message" tool to get help with coming up with message content.
Clicking the "Settings" icon toward the top will allow you to unsubscribe the recipient from receiving future messages, to archive the conversation or assign it to a user on your account, or to export the conversation.
Managing Subscribers
View and manage your account's subscriber database from the "Manage Subscribers" section within the extension.
Use the search bar to search through your subscriber list. You can filter your subscribers according to the "Group" or "Country" they belong to. Clicking "Actions" will allow you to view and manage custom attribute data points that you can assign to your subscribers. (Read more about custom attributes here.)
Click on any of the subscriber rows to view and edit information for that subscriber.
Click the "+" button to add a new subscriber.
