Wouldn't it be nice to be able to send your messages through the "blue bubble"?
You can now send messages via iMessage through Mobile Text Alerts!
That way, you can enjoy messaging securely via the iMessage network, send messages from a trusted sender identity, and extend your reach to Apple users around the world.
Note that this feature is currently in beta, so there could be outstanding bugs, and it is not guaranteed to be available to all Mobile Text Alerts users.
How to Set Up iMessage
- Contact support and ask about getting a "Sender Identity" - this will appear as an email address and will be a unique sending identifier for your business.
- Get your subscribers to provide consent to receive iMessages - your subscriber can simply send a message from their Apple device to your Sender Identity confirming that they want to receive your messages (for example, they can send a message that says, "Sign up")
- One option you can use to help with this is deeplinking, which is currently available via API.
- Through the deeplinking option, you can send a "deeplink" to your current subscribers, and if they click the link, their phones will be automatically filled in with your Sender Identity and an opt-in message, so they can just hit SEND on their phone to opt in to iMessage.
- Anyone who opts in will receive iMessages in the future rather than regular SMS/MMS whenever you send a message (if iMessages fail for one reason or another, the device will receive an SMS/MMS instead).
The First Step
The iMessage feature is available at no additional fee and requires no setup other than contacting support to request a Sender Identity."
Once you have a Sender Identity ready to go, you just need to get people to send a message to that Sender Identity in order to opt in.
Go ahead and contact support now to see if your business might be eligible for an iMessage Sender Identity
You'll be sending messages through that blue bubble in no time!
